Pyohex® Medicated Shampoo is a specialised antibacterial shampoo designed to assist in the treatment of superficial bacterial skin infections in dogs. It effectively cleanses the skin, reduces bacterial numbers, and aids in managing dermatitis caused by Staphylococcus pseudintermedius.

Key Features:

• Antibacterial Action: Contains Chlorhexidine gluconate, a broad-spectrum antibacterial agent effective against common bacteria involved in superficial bacterial dermatitis.
• Skin Cleansing: Formulated to remove dirt, debris, and scale while maintaining healthy skin.
• Supports Skin Health: Helps manage bacterial infections, which are often primary or secondary causes of dermatitis in dogs.

Directions for Use:

1. Wet your dog’s coat thoroughly with warm water.
2. Apply Pyohex® Medicated Shampoo and work into a lather, ensuring it reaches the skin.
3. Allow the shampoo to stand for 10 minutes.
4. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
5. Use as directed by your veterinarian for the treatment of bacterial skin infections.

Precautions:

• Avoid contact with eyes. If shampoo enters the eyes, flush immediately with clean water and seek veterinary advice if irritation occurs.
• Do not leave your dog unattended during the treatment process, as licking or inhaling foam may irritate the gastrointestinal or respiratory tracts.
• For severe infections or deep pyodermas, antibiotic therapy may be required alongside the shampoo.

Safety Directions:

• May irritate eyes and skin. Avoid direct contact.
• Wear rubber gloves when handling the product.
• If contact with eyes occurs, wash immediately with water.
• Wash hands thoroughly after use.

Recommended for:

• Dogs with bacterial skin infections (e.g., superficial pyoderma caused by Staphylococcus pseudintermedius).
• Supporting the treatment of dermatitis caused by bacterial overgrowth.

Not Recommended for:

• Use on animals other than dogs unless directed by a veterinarian.
• Dogs with known allergies to Chlorhexidine gluconate or any of the shampoo’s ingredients.
