Vetafarm – Avimec – Scaly Face Treatment

Avimec is a highly effective and easy-to-use treatment for Scaly Face Mite (Burrowing Mites) in budgerigars. These mites burrow into featherless areas around the beak, cere, eyelids, legs, and feet, causing painful lesions and severe deformities. Left untreated, infestations can lead to difficulty eating and drinking, which may result in starvation.

Application Instructions:

• Full recovery may take up to 6 weeks.

Important: Treat all birds in the aviary to prevent re-infestation. Mites live on the body and do not require cage treatment.

Storage and Expiry:

• Storage: Keep below 25°C (air conditioning recommended).
