Wombaroo Lorikeet & Honeyeater Food (Red Enhancer) is a complete, balanced diet specially designed for nectar-eating birds that are prone to losing their colour in captivity. This product is formulated to meet the specific nutritional needs of lorikeets, honeyeaters, and other nectar-feeding species. It contains added carotenoids to help maintain red feather pigmentation and is primarily used by zoos, wildlife parks, and specialist breeders.

Preparation Instructions:

• To make 100mL: Mix 30g (3 scoops) of powder with 80mL of warm water.
• To make 1 Litre: Mix 300g of powder with 800mL of warm water.

Instructions:

1. Mix half the water with the powder until dispersed.
2. Add the remaining water and mix thoroughly.
3. Store prepared food in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours or freeze in small portions (e.g., ice cube trays) for up to 2 weeks.

Feeding Guide:

Captive Birds:

• Use as the primary maintenance diet for captive lorikeets, lories, and honeyeaters.
• Adjust feed quantities for breeding birds (increase by 30%) and supplement with Insectivore Rearing Mix or Finch Soft Food.

Supplementing Wild Birds:

• Set up an elevated feeding station with no more than 10mL per lorikeet or 5mL per honeyeater daily.
• Remove feeding bowls daily and clean thoroughly to prevent disease transmission.
• Encourage natural feeding by planting native shrubs and providing fresh water.
