Key Features:

  • Like Mother’s Milk: Formulated to match the composition of bitch’s milk for optimal nutrition.
  • High in Energy: Elevated fat content supports rapid growth in puppies.
  • Easily Digested: Low in lactose and carbohydrates, aiding digestion and reducing the risk of digestive issues.
  • Complete Nutrition: Suitable for all dog breeds, ensuring healthy development.

Directions for Preparing Milk:

Milk Quantity Powder Required Water Required
30mL 1 scoop (6.5g) 25mL
1 Litre 215g 850mL
  1. Add half the water to the powder and mix to form a paste.
  2. Add the remaining water and mix thoroughly.
  3. Ensure the water is warm (not hot) to avoid curdling.
  4. Store prepared milk in the refrigerator for up to 1 day or freeze for up to 2 weeks in small portions (e.g., ice cube trays).

Feeding Guide:

  • Temperature: Warm milk to approximately 35°C.
  • Feeding Method: Use an SD Teat or LD Teat for small and large breeds, respectively. An F Teat may be used for some breeds.
  • Frequency:
    • First 3 Days: Every 2 hours.
    • Week 1: Every 4 hours.
    • Week 2: Every 6 hours.

Additional Tips:

  • Stimulate Digestion: Help puppies defecate and urinate after each feed.
  • Hydration: Provide pre-boiled water between feeds during hot weather.
  • Encourage Self-Feeding: Once puppies' eyes are open, encourage them to lap milk and gradually introduce solid food.

Growth Guidelines by Breed:

Breed Birth Weight (g) Weaning Weight (kg) Average Weight Gain (g/day)
Teacup 90 0.5 7
Toy 180 1.0 15
Small 250 1.4 20
Medium 300 3.2 50
Large 450 8.0 135
Giant 700 10.0 170
  • Consistent weight gain is a good indicator of health. Weigh puppies regularly to track growth and adjust feed volumes as necessary.
  • Avoid overfeeding, as it may cause diarrhoea.

Weaning Process:

  • At 4 weeks, puppies will begin showing interest in solid food.
  • Offer puppy dry food soaked in milk to encourage them to transition to solids.
  • Gradually reduce milk intake and increase solid food until fully weaned by 8 weeks.

Recommended For:

  • Orphaned puppies or large litters with limited access to mother’s milk.
  • Breeders, veterinarians, and rescue centres caring for young puppies.
  • Puppies needing supplemental nutrition during growth and development.

Not Recommended For:

  • Adult dogs as a primary diet.
